Quest Judging Guidelines

| Food Food can be judged using the standard Cook’s Guild Recipe Submission Form with comments by members of the Cook’s Guild. Dancing Dancing competence can be evaluated at any event or dance practice by members of the Guild of the Silver Rondel. Documentation Pieces Persona Creation, Everyday Life, Poisoning, Food, and Habitat shall be considered sufficiently good when you are prepared to publish them. You may choose from your group’s newsletter or website, this website, a guild publication, Cockatrice, or anything similar. Arts and Sciences Competitions Most of Aneala’s A&S Competitions are Open (anyone can enter anything). We do not have sufficient people to run many themed competitions. We hold Open A&S Competitions at least twice a year at Midsummer and Midwinter. There are 3 judges. All 3 score each entry out of 10 in workmanship, difficulty, creativity, authenticity and documentation. This format makes it possible to judge completely unrelated items (such as a piece of armour and a piece of embroidery) against each other. For general competitions it does not really matter whether the judges mark hard or easy as long as they are fair to all entries. For the Quest, it is necessary that all judges keep to roughly the same standard, so these guidelines were developed. Even if there are not enough entries to run an A&S competition or if your group does not run such competitions, Quest items can still be scored in this way. |

If the score is lower, then the entrant may alter the entry and have it re-scored later as often as needed to achieve the required average. |
